was just pondering about certain issues and i have decided to "pen" it down....it's how funny that some parents are willing to spend so much money getting their kids to learn something which they don't really love... due to this, kids would just learn the skill for the sake of learning...not thinking of improving on how they can attain the skill, and because of this, excuses will start pouring in, for example:

Commencement of the lesson:

Teacher: alright, can i take a look at your homework?
Student: oh sorry teacher, i lost the homework that you had given it to me, i think my mum lost it.

it's how amazing that kids who do not want to do their homework can just push the blame to their mum, very convenient. However, when the class ends, this is what happens.

Ending of lesson:

Teacher: ok, so please remember to practise, see you
Student: (and suddenly out of the blue) oh teacher, i found my homework you had given me last week.

Aren't kids very smart these days? Their tricks are just too good to be true. And this often leads me to wonder where on earth is the interest to learn the skill at all? And of course i must say, this is pretty sad.

purposely woke up really late today---1pm that is...but still i was so bored at home..had beard papa cream puffs which were ultimately sweet, chocolate cream in a chocolate bread! and it was yet another trying-hard-to-study day..which of course it was not so productive at all....couldn't even understand what the notes were talking about...yawnz...thank gosh i had my novel to keep me company..it's totally horrible staying at home alone and i can't even go out :( anyway, mum was telling me that our neighbour borrowed money from loansharks (well, their unit number was written in the lift) no wonder it seems to me that they have to change the colour of their door every now and then (apprantly, the loansharks sprayed paint on their door)...scary, always thought such things only happen in dramas, well it had became a reality :S alright i got to teach piano tomorrow..please let me recover soon..

it's how saddening to see myself being in such lousy health, feeling utterly dejected and demoralised about it...i just don't understand why i am always landing myself in such horrible state...everything just comes in package..are there anymore coming soon? i wonder to myself everyday. to all those who have been asking out, sorry i really don't wish to go out...i just want to stay at home and recuperate. no doubt i would really love to meet you guys and have fun but i just can't....very sorry. a new year resolution that i have...promising myself to do more exercise to boost my immune system.

happy 2009 everyone! well, just some reflections about 2008...it's been a tough year for me getting over certain things, wasted lots of tears but "thanks" to you....i have learnt that i should not be so naive and stupid anymore....you are simply a history to me now....however, on a happier note, i am really glad that the bond between all my friends are getting stronger..especially my secondary sch friends....wonder what would i do without them...seeing them every week is like a routine to me now :) and of course..not forgetting the overseas trip to hong kong with grace as well as the countdown party yesterday at alvin's house which ended my 2008 with a blast! as for this year, i have tons of new year resolutions...considering the fact that i am going to graduate if everything goes smoothly...one of the more important ones and i believe to all of us....hope that Mr C will get well soon...hope that you can meet us real soon and have fun with us like how it used to be. ok enough said, shall enjoy this great year :) take care everyone!

well it's been quite some time since i had blogged...been rather busy enjoying myself till i had fallen terribly ill, been coughing like there is no tomorrow, fever followed by it... :S trip to hong kong was awesome..great fun with grace for the first few days of the trip...sorry babe that i had brought you to the wrong places at times :( both of us shopped till our ankle got swollen! the next few days were spent with my relatives, drinks at stanley on christmas eve, bbq in one of the islands during christmas followed by catchup with bao en...great ambience i must say! all in all, had a very great holiday and oh well, i still got myself an agnes b bag from hk in the end :) anyway, figured out that i need to go for some kickboxing session again.....no not because i wana lose weight...i guess i need to exercise more to prevent myself from falling sick all the time :) alright...will upload the pictures soon...4 more days to the end of the year..can't wait :)

so it was food mania with alvin today....had a great lunch at Choupinette..sandwiches were indeed great! then it was madagascar 2 at the cathay...entertaining movie i must say....wanted to have dinner at aston but my gosh...the queue was crazy! so we decided to head down to singapore flyer for cam-whoring....well, not a pretty good place to cam-whore haha...then dinner at MOF(thanks for the dinner btw!) after that, since it was still early, it was back to cam-whoring again...was at the fountain at millenia walk....great view! enjoyed myself loads today and gona try sweet indulgence at stanley street soon! ok pictures time!

on a sidenote..thanks lian chin for the drama man! so gona spend my lovely holidays watching them! i love holidays :)

an AWESOME great damage today! it was meetup with ru yuan for facial again :) after that was lunch at crystal jade...yup indeed very cheap i must say :) coz we ordered the high tea set haha! then it was getting OUR necessities! my damages for the day were :

1) a mango tee shirt
2) a mango white tank top
3) nail polish from face shop
4) moisturizer

well, i must say i was very happy....at least i got what i wanted! gosh...do i even look like i am having exams next week? ok time to feel the "guilt" and enjoy having fun with my finance :)

yet another saturday...but a day when my dear friend "flew me aeroplane"...well initial plan was to hang out with him after sch but he got urgent stuff...well was quite disappointed at first but come to think about it, i came to a conclusion that everyone is faced with "hiccups" at a certain point in time and sometimes they don't really have a choice.. oh well...i am just the unlucky one i guess..so went town alone walking around aimlessly :S my gosh..there was a sale at taka.....it was so crowded...and of course my favourite agnes b is on sale as well..was so tempted to get one of the pouches but i did not see any usage in it so i gave it a miss (boy, that's so not me :S ) after that, chee kiong was nice to meet me at amk hub for dinner....the mr entertainer...we can laugh at even the slightest things! great mini catch up..and i can't wait for exams to end! 2ml it's gona be my own study retreat....business finance all the way after teaching 2ml! come on, flood me with the business finance knowledge!

so it was studying at esplanade today with ben and lian chin....did one chapter of price theory...damn i need to be more productive :S went for massage at kenko after that..yeah felt more relaxed indeed! met up with alvin for dinner at kenny rogers followed by dessert at gelare....gosh! i kept eating again today! but anyway, great meetup on the whole!

ok let see...the list of things that i had done for the day:

1) did business finance textbook questions which left me demoralised :(
2) cooked my own lunch which consisted of chicken wings, noodles, vegetables and egg :)
3) studied one topic of price theory and still not knowing what is going on
4) checking out what's the latest fashion trend online (not part of my study plan, duh)

so all in all, technically i wasted one day..never mind, shall dedicate my time studying price theory and my own piano theory 2ml with the regulars. 2 hours to go...i am so looking forward to phone conference later with the babes.

was in a crazy mad dash today...rushed to each student's place one after another...thank gosh teaching was fun with the students...after all the teaching, decided to give myself a treat so i headed to tcc at the airport for some desserts before heading home and once again, my dad asked me the same question....i hate to decide again...perhaps the best solution is to return to where i belong...i am confused..i don't know what i should do...what i need to do right now is concentrate on my exams....why am i always stuck in such problems during my crucial period? damn.

had a pretty relaxing day today...considering the fact that i had the whole afternoon to myself...decided to head home to study which wasn't exactly very productive....more on biz finance 2ml! anyway, gona be facing a "challenge" 2ml...yeah i guess that's part of my job talking to them...well i guess i got to be optimistic and bring out that confidence in me....kept telling myself constantly that i can do it! anyhow, was listening to the radio the other day and the DJ was discussing this issue about friends with benefits and apprantly research has shown that only 10% of such friends will progress into a committed relationship..yes i think i am more than convinced now.

so it was out with ru yuan for facial today again! had our not so good lunch at central followed by studying at coffee bean...we DID try very hard to study but the dear waiter chased us out :( so we decided to try cakes at royal copenhagen at taka...was really good! and we realised that we were the youngest in the entire cafe...apprantly most of the patrons are working adults! after that, it was facial time! yes two of us were so tired that we literally fell asleep....and dinner was at sushi place at cineleisure..basically we ate a lot today i must say! weekends tomorrow...well technically i guess it would be a bad one considering the fact that i have to handle certain difficult issues..... :S anyway, it would be a super busy month...have to juggle between my exams and teaching! a breather please! alright, out of here..take care all.

hi all! i am here to blog again! basically been having loads of fun for the past few days...sunday was out with ex-colleague sisi for dinner and some shopping...was sourcing for shades for my dear cousin but to no avail...monday was a game of basketball with uni friends...there was justin, ming wei, ling zhi, de xiang, furfur, annie, christine and me! awesome game...it was real fun! tue was uni friends gathering and it was at christine's place! went for lunch at "shanghai ren jia"( as suggested by our dear annie)...then the girls headed to city plaza for shopping...wanted to get a belt but the "bitches" said it wasn't worth it so i gave it a miss...while the guys went to grandlink square for their game of CS...and of course not forgetting majong after that at christine's place..and i learnt how to play in between...and justin was our big winner! had our dinner near her place and once again..thanks de xiang for the "vroom vroom"! alright pictures (mainly the "bitches") to be uploaded soon! take care all!

had a really good friday and saturday....friday was spent with sec sch buddies! there was gabriel, wai yeung, alvin, yong xin, grace, corinne and ru yuan...had our dinner at white dog cafe, it was awesome! i totally love such gathering! then headed to our supposedly suggested place timber but my gosh..it was so so crowded! and it was crazy...we actually walked one big round...starting point=dhoby gaunt mrt station...all the way to somewhere close to chijmes..ending point: dhoby gaunt mrt station...while the rest headed to minds' cafe, i decided to be good and headed home :) saturday was a mugging day cum a catchup day with polymate, Xaviour aka Ian...headed to my favourite coffee bean after teaching piano to mug till 10...almost died studying macro..it's crazy! then met up with Ian for supper at Summer Breeze, pasir ris park..great recommendation! chatted about our lives..great catchup indeed! and thanks for the ride man! alright, got to start studying for macro! take care people!

many random thoughts are going through my mind and i guess i should just blog it....

1) sometimes i believe that there is always a point in time that we have to weigh our priorities, perhaps for me, it seems to me that it happens every now and then, the thought of having a piano exam as well as two tests happening on the same week just makes me so tired, yeah time management is the key to everything.

2) everytime i ask myself, do i really enjoy doing all these things now?

3) prior to the above question, though i have an idea of what i really want in life, it can only be achieved sometime later

4) my life is such a routine, it's time for me to change it.

5) was looking at a friend's blog, it's how amazing so many things in his life have changed, i wondered what made him change into a different person

6) till now, i still can't forgive myself for making the mistake. what i can do now is do my best for it.

alright, i can go on and on but i guess i got to hit the books, test on friday, lecturer is really helpful, i have full respect for him. ok take care all.

yet another saturday but today was a pretty good one coz it was out with sock kee then alvin and grace! was with sock kee at suntec city checking out the jobscentral fair..it was extremely crowded so we ended up walking around tangs bazaar which was more crowded :S came out empty handed :S after that was meetup with alvin and grace for dinner at new york new york.....i had one spring chicken..ok basically i was really hungry! and i came to realise that today is like THE BIRTHDAY FOR ALMOST EVERYONE! just within an hour, there were like 5 birthday celebrations at the restaurant! following that, we played bowling at one of the country clubs at toa payoh....reminiscing the good old secondary school days while playing....yeah i really miss those days! haha when all of us are just so young! alright, it's sunday already...that's fast! can i have 48 hours a day please?

been having loads of fun for the past few days having good food and meeting great friends...tue was dinner with IMF peepz...had pasta at pizza place before heading to gelare for waffles....yeah we had lots of ice cream! 13 scoops to be exact! why?we had 3 scoops of ice cream with waffle, then followed by 2 scoops of cookies and cream sundae, followed by the 8 scoops of mini feast...! gosh we almost died eating! anyway, it was great laughing at all the jokes! today was dinner with ru yuan, yup and pasta again but this time round at pasta cafe before proceeding to canele for desserts! the cakes were really nice but haha over sinful! but oh well...we only live once, how can we miss it :) both of us updated about each other's lives, not forgetting cam-whoring! alright here's our pictures, pictures with IMF peepz will be uploaded soon!

friday was spent with the sec sch besties! had dinner at shokudo, me, grace and wai yeung queued for an hour before getting our seat! after that, yong xin, gab and corinne came....had a very satisfying meal before proceeding to esplanade for cam-whoring! yup we love it! gab brought a very good camera but his computer cannot read the camera's memory card! thank gosh cor brought her digi cam :) and after which, we just sat at some random sofa we found at citylink mall for a long rest before heading home :) great outing with the great people! pictures' time!

so it was shopping with bestie, sock kee at bugis after school today! thanks gal for following me around, listening to all my sorrows! had our dinner at hong kong cafe, wasn't really that fantastic i must say, then we headed to bugis junction, shopped around but both of us left the place empty handed...but but, at least i bought some pretty good pastries from intercontinental hotel for breakfast 2ml and discovered a piano lounge there as well! awesome! shall go check that out someday :) till then.

went to my ex-colleagues' chalet at east coast park yesterday...food cooked by them was great...company was good...played pirate ship at the funfair...and me and my friend's heart almost dropped, very scary and we just started screaming :S then at night, it was another drinking session, the mixture of beer, black label/jack daniel...on the whole, chalet was very fun..another great weekend and i can't wait for the sentosa trip soon!

macro 2 lecture wasn't very fun yesterday....lecturer decided to put all of us under pressure by blasting us with questions.... :S and after lecture, it was having fun again! there was shuet, hui liang, ben, lian chin, annie, de xiang and ming wei...and we celebrated lian chin's belated birthday, great fun at the pub, card games, dice, singing and of course...drinking!pictures will be up soon...!

so today's dinner was with wai kit at vivocity, hanabi....had great sashimi and sushi....wanted to have this brazilian buffet but it was fully packed :( then had a walk around vivocity after dinner....pretty crowded i must say....following that headed to esplanade for haagen-dazs and we bumped into andrea and her bf..chatted for a while before both of us had our dessert...very yummy indeed! all in all...very relaxing dinner, and thanks for the treat! and of course, the pictures of the dessert that we ate :)

a day which i THOUGHT everything will go so smoothly...turns out to be such an unlucky day for me.....fell right at the entrance of OCBC bank on my way back from lunch...guess it could have been the medicine that was making me so super drowsy....boss asked me to take half day off...now i finally came to realise that i should not overwork myself so much already...i really need a long break....feeling so sick...was forced to postphone some of my classes...gosh..have never felt so giddy before :S alright till then.

oh my gosh! i am finally 21...! SUPPOSEDLY known as stepping into the adulthood....celebrated this special day with my sangus...though it was just a normal outing...it's just great! it's been such a long while since we had our outing..! and i had finally bought my MAC eyeliner...gona learn how to draw it which i know will take ages for me to learn....yawnz~~ anyway, work has been going pretty fine..starting to get used to the routine and i seriously got to stop munching on food every now and then in the office...! tea gathering on thur..my gosh! on the other hand, life's has been really busy, work, teach, work and teach again...at least it does not allow me to even bother about it..yeah i am sure it will fade away soon...ok dokes...thanks to all those who has wished me today...21 now...time for that change :) au revoir.

been asking myself the same question again and again..all that i am doing now..is it worth it? i really don't know..the process is really making me very tired....it was once again an express dinner, or do i even call it a dinner? only had a packet of milk and then it was off to work. next week's my birthday, i could still recall having a pretty memorable one last year at prague, my friend bought me a tiramisu cake, having people that i have only known for less than 2 weeks singing happy birthday song to me....as for this year, all i know that i got to work on that day.....been counting down to the end of it everyday. what a dread.

so i had my piano exam at waterloo street...thanks to those who had wished me luck...i really really need it man! next was movie (what happened in vegas) with ivan at GV gold class..very comfortable seats i must say...great movie ...great popcorn....did a lot of catching up with ivan before the movie....was telling him about my job and blah blah....then went to Isetan private sale..did not buy anything ...couldn't bother to try on the clothes...felt damn tired....had kfc for dinner and yup that was how i ended my lovely thur.

so my day started at 7am today, piano classes followed by teaching...and i alighted at the wrong step..had to take a 20 mins walk to my student's place...it was pretty tedious :S then it was meetup with lian chin to get my hard disk..thanks dude for the 10 dramas! awesome stuff...walked around town before meeting family for buffet at park hotel...dessert was great i must say..especially the cheesecake! one more day before busy life starts...was discussing with my mum..telling her that i got to wake up really early everyday from mon till sun for work, piano class and teaching, it's madness..thank gosh she was nice enough to sponser me with taxi fares during the weekends which means i can sleep more! practical exam on friday....well i know i will not do well...just got to try my very best...wish me luck.
